Originally coming from Leipzig, Germany, Nicole decided to stay in the US after meeting her future husband during her year as an Au Pair. She finished her studies in Art in Atlanta, Georgia, where she lived for 7 Years, before moving back to Maryland to be closer to her husband’s family. Catonsville is their new hometown and they absolutely love it. After working for a large advertising agency for 6 years, she decided to stay home and be a hands-on mom for both of her boys. However, now that her kids are getting older and both are in school, Nicole had the desire to be back in an office environment and decided work for one of her good friends in real estate.
I would say coming to the US, because if I wouldn’t have I wouldn’t be married today and have my two cute boys. I would have never dreamed to move to another country or speak another language. My English was pretty bad in high school. Now, I probably speak it better than my native German.

The Dead Key by D. M. Pulley. The author is a family friend and it was her first novel, which won the 2014 Winner — Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award — Grand Prize and Mystery & Thriller Fiction Winner.
Best local place to eat
My new favorite local place to eat is the Manor Hill Tavern in Ellicott City. The ambiance and the food are fabulous. Great for a date night, but also good with kids.
My honeymoon in Hawaii. We went for two weeks and got to see Oahu and Maui. We had so much fun. Best part was biking down the Haleakala volcano in Maui after we saw the sunrise. It was stunning.
When I am not working, I am
At home with my youngest son. Trying to entertain an active little boy. But, I love every minute of it!
